Pre & Post Production: See notes to the right > |
Wishing you and your heirs a glorious holiday season May your new year be filled with entitlement and all the finer things expected for a family of elite status, such as yours. Diana, Michael, Juliana, Olivia The Cohenshire's Pre & Post Production:
After browsing many famous paintings, John Singleton Copley's 1778 oil painting of Sir William Pepperrell and Family was the closest thing I could find for what I had in mind. Obviously, it was not "perfect". Olivia was no longer a baby, so the body of the older girl on the right side of the original painting had to be used, which was difficult to do realistically. This was especially true around the arms and dress. Each of us posed with powered faces to slightly minimize the amount of digital face retouching needed in order to simulate the oil-on-canvas relief and reflection properties of the original. Beyond that, the actual post production work on each face was extensive. The goal of the joke was to make it look 100% real. With that in mind, it took a considerable amount of time to achieve a completely believable "undoctored", oil-on-canvas appearance. |
